Bluebird’s breath

Last week, on the late afternoon return of my rail trail hike, the low afternoon sun briefly slipped out from behind the clouds. One of the six bluebirds that I was watching landed on a broken sapling with his back to the sun. He fanned his tail. I was simply at the right place at the right time.

Bluebird’s breath is the largest wood panel painting I’ve done, measuring 16 x 20 inches. Along with 24 other originals, it’s for sale now here
